Ave Q's Atherton at Band on the Wall with Lee, 8 October

Date: 1 October 2010

Preston born star of Avenue Q Julie Atherton is to perform at Band On The Wall in Manchester with former S Club 7 band member Jon Lee next weekend.

Lee will sing a duet with Atherton from Jason Robert Brown's The Last Five Years, a musical which Julie starred in twiece in London's West End. The pair have been friends for years following Lee's turn in Les Miserables.

The evening will showcase Atherton's second album "No Space For Air" and it also marks the West End star's first Northern solo engagement. Band On The Wall is set in an intimate venue which will enable Julie to perform new songs alongside classics by the likes of Stephen Sondheim

She is perhaps best known for originating the roles of Kate Monster and Lucy the Slut in the popular smash hit musical Avenue Q.
