Sullivan & Reddington tour in WWRY

Date: 7 September 2010

Following the huge success of the 2009 UK tour of the smash hit Queen and Ben Elton musical, We Will Rock You comes the announcement that the show will be heading back to Manchester in 2010 with a cast featuring Noel Sullivan, Ian Reddington and Leon Lopez.

The production will be heading to the Palace Theatre from 3rd December to 15th January 2010, for a six-week run before continuing around the UK.

The cast for Manchester features former Hearsay member Noel Sullivan, who is currently starring as Danny in Grease in the West End. He will be playing the part of ‘Galileo’, the nervous boy who must become a bohemian hero to help save the future of rock music.

Alongside Noel is Sheffield actor Ian Reddington, who is one of the only people to have featured in two major roles in both Eastenders and Coronation Street as Richard Cole aka Tricky Dicky and Vernon Tomlin respectively. He will perform the role ‘Pop’, a librarian who is stuck in his ‘hippie’ past and is searching to find answers to the end of rock music, whilst former Brookside star Leon Lopez heads up the bohemians as their leader ‘Britney.’

Speaking about the tour Noel Sullivan said: “I am really excited to be taking up this fantastic role in We Will Rock You. It is a great opportunity to sing such hit Queen songs around the country, it is what dreams are made off. I can’t wait to perform the show.”

We Will Rock You is at the Palace Theatre from 3 December - 15 January and it also visits Liverpool from 6 September - 9 October, 2011.
