Fascinating Aïda arrives to Floral PavilionDate: 22 February 2010 Comedy trio Fascinating Aïda are celebrating their silver jubilee this year and visit New Brighton’s Floral Pavilion this week. Described by film director Ken Russell as “the love children of Freddie Mercury and Dawn French”, Dillie Keane, Adèle Anderson and singer Liza Pulman stick the satirical stiletto into health and safety, wannabes and D-list celebrities, and Gordon Brown for their new show. They have a go at explaining modern finance, extol the joys of al fresco sex, and wonder if global warming will mean we all have to move to the Shetlands. Fascinating Aïda have been nominated for the Olivier Award three times as well as the Drama Desk Award in New York. The trio visit the Floral Pavilion in Wirral this Wednesday (24 February). - by Michael Hunt Related ContentBack to Northwest Homepage
