Told By An Idiot production at Unity

London-based Told By An Idiot bring its touring production of Michel Faber’s The Fahrenheit Twins to Liverpool’s Unity Theatre next week.

Adapted from the dark and fantastical short story by acclaimed author Faber, The Fahrenheit Twins tells the tale of a brother and sister who live with their scientist parents on a remote arctic exploration station. They spend their days racing huskies across the wintry tundra, rolling in the snow and recording key events in The Book of Knowledge. Their existence is unusual but very content, until one day their mother unexpectedly takes to her bed and life for the twins is never the same again.

John Bridge, senior marketing assistant at the Unity Theatre, said: “We have a great production from Told By An Idiot here from 20-24 October called The Fahrenheit Twins. It's Hayley Carmichael and Paul Hunter's first two hander since they founded Told By An Idiot 15 years ago. The show is the highlight of our season.”

Carmichael and Hunter bring the moving story to life in a co-production being directed by Matthew Dunster.

Plymouth’s Drum Theatre is co-producing The Fahrenheit Twins which is being designed by Naomi Wilkinson with lighting by Philip Gladwell and sound design by Gareth Fry.

Tickets for The Fahrenheit Twins cost £7. The touring production appears in Cambridge and London after it visits Liverpool.
