Competition! Win tickets in Liverpool

Date: 23 May 2009

Liverpool’s Empire theatre is giving Whatsonstage.com readers the opportunity to win a pair of tickets to see Dreamboats and Petticoats – The Ultimate British Rock ‘n’ Roll Musical!

Ready to rock the Empire, the show was inspired by the 2007 and hugely successful album Dreamboats and Petticoats and its follow up which reached number two in the charts within the first week of its release in November 2008.

Starring one of 2008’s X Factor finalists, Manchester-born Scott Bruton, this new production will take you back to a time when each passing week brought another classic track.

In 1961 emotions run high as talented young musicians Norman and Bobby compete to win the hearts of their adoring female fans – and more importantly, the gorgeous Laura. But when Laura shows that she’s no slouch with the guitar, rock ‘n’ roll fame beckons.….

It features classic tracks from Roy Orbison, The Shadows, Eddie Cochran, Billy Fury, Chuck Berry and many more.

Joining Bruton is Ben Freeman who played the role of Scott Windsor for ten years in ITV’s hit soap Emmerdale and Jennifer Biddall, who played Jessica Harris in E4 and Channel 4’s Hollyoaks.

Dreamboats and Petticoats has been written by Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran, the team behind Goodnight Sweetheart, Birds of a Feather, and Shine on Harvey Moon.

The production arrives to the theatre from 22-27 June this year.

The competition has now closed.
