Local Sleeping Beauty Wanted

The Whitley Bay Pantomime Society are about to start auditioning for their production of Sleeping Beauty which will take place in the newly refurbished PLAYHOUSE, Whitley Bay from 12th to 16th January 2010.

If you would like to join them, as part of the cast of the Society’s 46th annual pantomime, either as a principal or a chorus member, the Society will be holding auditions on the following dates:

Chorus auditions - Taking place on 3rd September – applicants must be aged 14 or over and possess a strong singing voice and preferably some knowledge of dancing, although this is not essential.

Principal’s auditions - Taking place on 8th September – applicants must be aged 16 or over be able to sing and move well on stage. Parts include Prince Philip, Princess Beauty, Queen Anastasia and Dum Dum.

Jim Graham (President) for the Whitley Bay Pantomime Society said, “We have had members who have gone on to become famous stars, such as Cheryl Cole. It is a great opportunity to get on stage and experience performing to a live audience.”
