Ghost set for Birmingham Christmas run

Date: 20 March 2013

The Whatsonstage.com Award winning musical Ghost will play for three weeks only this Christmas at the New Alexandra Theatre Birmingham, opening on December 17 through January 5.

Based on the Oscar winning movie, Sam (Stewart Clarke) is trapped as a ghost between this world and the next trying to communicate with girlfriend Molly (Rebecca Trehearn) through phoney psychic Oda Mae Brown (Wendy Mae Brown) in the hope of saving her from his murderer. Ghost will also star Keisha Atwell as Louise, Ivan De Freitas as Willie Lopez and David Roberts as Carl Bruner.

Ghost the Musical is directed by the Tony award winning Matthew Warchus and has music and lyrics by Grammy award winning Dave Stewart and Glen Ballard, featuring the iconic song Unchained Melody.

Oscar winning Bruce Joel Rubin adapted his original screenplay for the stage production. Rubin won an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay for the movie Ghost, which starred Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore, Tony Goldwyn and Whoopi Goldberg.

Ticket booking opens tomorrow at 10am.
