Casting announced for Ghost tour

Casting has been announced for the forthcoming UK tour of Whatsonstage.com Award-winning show Ghost the Musical, which launches at the Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff next month.

The show is based on the Oscar-winning film starring Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore and features the iconic song "Unchained Melody".

The story focuses on Molly and Sam, a couple who are mugged walking home one night. Murdered in the attack, Sam is trapped as a ghost between this world and the next, and unwilling to leave Molly who remains in danger. With the help of a phoney psychic Oda Mae Brown, Sam attempts to communicate with and save Molly.

Directed by the Tony Award-winning director, Matthew Warchus, the tour cast is led by Stewart Clarke (Loserville) as Sam and Rebecca Trehearn (We Will Rock You, Dirty Dancing) as Molly, alongside Wendy Mae Brown (Oda Mae Brown), Keisha Atwell (Louise), Ivan De Freitas (Willie Lopez), Stevie Hutchinson (Subway Ghost), David Roberts (Carl Bruner) and Karlene Wray (Clara).

The cast also includes Maeve Byrne, Amy Webb, Amy West, Luke Wilson, Gregor Stewart, Michael Stewart, Bradley Jaden, Robert Knight, Bradley Jaden, Robert Knight, Michael Cortez, Kimmy Edwards, Jaye Elster, Gabriella Garcia, Nick Hayes and Livvy Evans.

The UK tour is being produced by David Ian Productions, The Ambassador Theatre Group, Colin Ingram, and Hello Entertainment/David Garfinkle. 

Following Cardiff, where it runs from 8-27 April, the tour will visit Wimbledon, Edinburgh, Wolverhampton, Leeds, Manchester and Southampton.
