Colm Wilkinson performs West End concert in June as part of new tour

Date: 22 February 2013

Colm Wilkinson, the original Jean Valjean, will return to the West End in June for a one-off concert performance at the Lyceum Theatre.

The show - titled Bring Him Home - is on 24 June 2013, with tickets on sale from today. It runs as part of Wilkinson's Broadway and Beyond tour which kicks off in Cork, Ireland on 6 June.

According to press material, "Broadway and Beyond gives fans old and new the opportunity to see and hear a more intimate and personal side of this phenomenal performer."

The two-hour concert will include "Music of the night", "Some Enchanted Evening", "Somewhere", and his signature song "Bring Him Home". He'll also tell stories from his long career and put a new spin on classics including "Danny Boy", "Whiskey in a Jar" and Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah".

Wilkinson, who was recently seen in the Oscar-nominated Les Miserables movie and has also starred in Jesus Christ Superstar, The Phantom of the Opera and Evita, will be joined on stage by two female vocalists and a seven-piece band under the musical direction of Gavin Murphy.

The Broadway and Beyond tour will also visit Dublin, Limerick, Edinburgh, Cardiff and venues across the USA.
