Podcast: #WOSOuting to Midnight Tango

Date: 11 February 2013

Last night (11 February 2013) for our latest Whatsonstage.com Outing we took nearly 100 theatregoers to Midnight Tango at the Phoenix Theatre, followed by an exclusive post-show Q&A hosted by Russell Grant.

Grant, who recently returned from an ankle injury, plays bar owner Carlos in the show, which sees him reunite with his Strictly Come Dancing partner Flavia Cacace alongside fellow Strictly pro Vincent Simone.

Midnight Tango is set in a late-night bar in downtown Buenos Aires. The show, which "brings to life all the drama, sensuality and elegance of the tango", is choreographed by Vincent and Flavia who are joined on stage by a company of ten other tango dancers.

It's directed by Karen Bruce, designed by Morgan Large and lit by James Whiteside. Live music is provided by Tango Siempre, featuring vocalist Miguel Angel.
