Mike McShane joins cast of Tailor-Made Man at Arts TheatreDate: 8 January 2013
American comic actor Mike McShane has been cast alongside Faye Tozer and Dylan Turner in new musical The Tailor-Made Man, which opens at the Arts Theatre on 21 February 2013 (previews from 14 February). McShane, whose recent theatre credits include La Cage aux Folles on Broadway, will play movie mogul Louis B Mayer in the show, which centres on the true story of William Haines (played by Turner), the silent screen star who was fired by Mayer for being gay. The Tailor-Made Man was originally written as a play by Claudio Macor, who wrote the book for and will direct the musical premiere. The musical adaptation is by Amy Rosenthal, with music by Duncan Walsh Atkins and Adam Meggido (Showstoppers!) and lyrics by Meggido. The Tailor-Made Man will choreographed by Nathan M Wright, with design by Sophia Simensky, lighting by Humphrey McDermott, sound by Tom Marshall and musical direction by Duncan Walsh Atkins.
