Julius Caesar A new production from ENO of Handel's opera about one of the most famous Roman emperors. Conducted by Baroque expert Christian Curnyn, Julius Caesar runs at the London Coliseum until 2 November. Opening TuesdayBerenice Racine's tragedy of unfulfilled passion, in a new version by author Alan Hollinghurst stars Anne-Marie Duff, and runs at the Donmar Warehouse until 24 November. Paul Merton - Out of my Head Comedian Paul Merton is returning to stand-up after a 13-year absence. Billed as a "night of sketches, music, magic, variety and dancing girls (two of them aren’t girls)", it runs at the Vaudeville Theatre until 20 October. Opening WednesdayOur Boys Jonathan Lewis's award-winning play about the tedium, terror and tribulations suffered by five young soldiers recovering from injuries incurred in the line of duty stars Laurence Fox, Matthew Lewis and Arthur Darvill, among others, and runs at the Duchess Theatre until 15 December. Opening ThursdayScenes from an Execution Howard Barker's play about the shadowy territory between personal ambition and moral responsibility was first written for radio before being adapted for the stage in the eighties. Starring Fiona Shaw, it runs at the NT Lyttelton until 9 December. Fireface Opening FridayThe President and the Pakistani Tom Attenborough directs the world premiere of Rashid Razaq's new play about the young Barack Obama, tieing in with the US presidential election 2012.
