Hurly Burly Show posts West End closing notices for 18 Aug

Date: 6 August 2012

The Hurly Burly Show has posted closing notices at the West End’s Duchess Theatre, where it opened on 2 July 2012 and had been booking until 22 September. It will now finish on 18 August.

The show, which was first seen in the West End in 2011 in a limited season at the Garrick Theatre, features Miss Polly Rae and her troupe of burlesque dancers in various states of undress performing “steamed-up” renditions of hits by artists including Kylie, Britney, Prince, Beyonce, Madonna and Lady Gaga.

The next production due at the Duchess is David Grindley’s new production of Jonathan Lewis’ soldier drama Our Boys, which opens on 3 October 2012 (previews from 26 September). It stars Arthur Darvill, Laurence Fox and Matthew Lewis.

No further productions have been announced for the interim following The Hurly Burly Show closure.
