Full cast for The Judas Kiss with Rupert Everett announced

Date: 4 July 2012

The full cast has been announced for the new production of David Hare's The Judas Kiss at the Hampstead Theatre.

Joining already-announced leads Rupert Everett and Freddie Fox are: Alister Cameron as Moffat, Tom Colley as Galileo, Ben Hardy as Arthur, Cal Macaninch as Robbie Ross and Kirsty Oswald as Phoebe.

The revival of Hare’s play, which premiered in 1998, chronicles the later life of Oscar Wilde (Everett) and his lover Bosie Douglas (Fox), set on the eve of his arrest for gross indecency, and subsequently a night of his life in Italian exile after two years’ hard labour in Reading prison.

Everett returns to the Hampstead after appearing in Some Sunny Day in 1996. Other credits include West End and Broadway appearances in Blithe Spirit and Wildean film credits including The Importance of Being Earnest and An Ideal Husband.

Fox debuts at the Hampstead off the back of appearances in Hay Fever (Noel Coward Theatre), Cause Célèbre, A Flea in her Ear (both Old Vic) and The Last 5 Years (Barbican).

The show runs from 6 September to 13 October, with a press night on 12 September.
