1st Night Photos: Goold & co party in Narnia

Date: 30 May 2012

The multimedia Three-Sixty theatre tent has returned to Kensington Gardens, three years after Peter Pan, to host Rupert Goold's new production of The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe.

CS Lewis’ much-loved book centres on four siblings, Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy, who discover the magical world of Narnia when they pass through a mysterious wardrobe door. Ruled by the White Witch who has cast a spell making it forever winter, the children together with new found friends battle to bring happiness to the land in a classic tale of good versus evil.

In the new stage version, which is adapted by Goold and co-directed by Michael Fentiman, Sally Dexter, Forbes Masson and Brian Protheroe taking on the roles of the White Witch, Mr Tumnus and the Professor respectively. David Suchet, currently appearing in the West End in Long Day's Journey into Night, provides the voice of Aslan the lion.
