Conor McPherson’s Dublin Carol is revived by director Abbey Wright as part of the Donmar’s residency at Trafalgar Studios 2, where it continues to 31 December.

13 DECEMBER 2011
(PREVIEWS FROM 3 DECEMBER)

Lindsay Posner directs a major revival of Michael Frayn’s multi award-winning comedy at the Old Vic, with a cast featuring Janie Dee, Celia Imrie and Robert Glenister. Until 25 February.

Sooty - Izzy Wizzy Let's Get Busy
(PREVIEWS FROM 12 DECEMBER)

The all new Sooty show, featuring TV host Richard Cadell and the Sooty, Sweep and Soo puppet trio, opens in the daytime slot at the Garrick Theatre for a limited run.

The Charity That Began at Home

Richmond’s Orange Tree Theatre revives St John Hankin’s 1906 play The Charity That Began at Home, which continues until 4 February.

The Importance of Being Earnest
15 DECEMBER 2011

Gyles Brandreth stars as Lady Bracknell in a new musical adaptation of Oscar Wilde’s best-known play, with Edward Petherbridge as Canon Chasuble and Susie Blake as Miss Prism. Until 31 December.

Joking Apart
(PREVIEWS FROM 13 DECEMBER)

The Union Theatre revives Alan Ayckbourn's 1978 play, which is played out in a back garden over a 12-year period. Directed by Ben De Wynter, it continues until 14 January.
