Cast: Barks & Fletcher in Oliver! Tour, Bristol Coram Boy

Full casting has been announced for the forthcoming UK tour of Oliver!, which, as previously announced, will see Neil Morrissey and Brian Conley alternate in the role of Fagin.

Samantha Barks, who finished in the top three of BBC casting show I'd Do Anything, will play Nancy, alongside Iain Fletcher, best known as DC Rodney Skase in the long-running TV series The Bill, as Bill Sikes.

The cast will also feature: Jack Edwards as Mr Bumble; Suzie Chard as Widow Corney; Stephen Moore as Mr Brownlow; David Langham as Mr Sowerberry; CJ Johnson as Mrs Sowerberry; Stevie Hutchinson as Noah Claypole; Emma Dukes as Bet; and Victoria Hay as Charlotte.

Lionel Bart’s 1960 musical, which played a two-year run at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane before closing in January, will open in Cardiff on 20 December (previews from 10 December 2011) playing dates in Manchester, Birmingham, Southampton, Edinburgh, Plymouth, Newcastle, Leeds and Bristol with venues confirmed through to March 2013.

The touring company also includes Lincoln Hudson, James Gant, Hadrian Delacey, Joe Maxwell, Kade Ferraiolo, Lee Dillon-Stuart, Matt Harrop, Ryan O'Gorman, Annie Wensak, Kara Lane, Claire Parrish, Alison Connell, Sophie Caton, Beth Davies, Mikaela Newton, Paul Farrell, Nicholas Duncan, Sarah Cortez, and Mary Fox.


Principal casting has been announced for the Bristol Old Vic and Colston Hall’s forthcoming Christmas revival of Coram Boy, which was a hit for the National Theatre in 2006 and 2007.

Leading the company of Melly Still’s production will be Emily Head (Adult Melissa), Simon Shepherd (Lord Ashbrook) Tristan Sturrock (Otis) and Saskia Portway (Mrs Ashbrook)

Coram Boy will be staged in the Colston Hall from 22 to 30 December (preview 21 December), featuring a cast of 35, a full chorus, a live orchestra and “a host of Bristolian children”.

The acting company also features Ed Birch (Adult Thomas), Lucy Black (Mrs Lynch), Grace Carter (Adult Isobel), Fionn Gill (Meshak), Joe Hall (Claymore/Handel), Freddie Hutchins (Adult Alexander) and Catherine Swingler (Mrs Milcote/Mrs Hendry).
