OPENING TONIGHT

A Walk in the Woods
MONDAY 17 OCTOBER 2011
(PREVIEWS FROM 12 OCTOBER)

Lee Blessing’s A Walk in the Woods, set in the midst of the Cold War, transfers from Northern Stage to the Tricycle Theatre, where it runs until 12 November 2011.

Jerusalem

(PREVIEWS FROM 8 OCTOBER)

Following its run on Broadway, Jez Butterworth's acclaimed and multi award-winning play returns to the West End’s Apollo Theatre, starring Mark Rylance and Mackenzie Crook.

OPENING TUESDAY

Inadmissible Evidence
18 OCTOBER 2011
(PREVIEWS FROM 13 OCTOBER)

John Osborne's poignant, witty portrait of a lawyer suffering a midlife crisis, is revived at the Donmar Warehouse by director Jamie Lloyd. Starring Douglas Hodge, fresh from his Tony Award-winning turn on Broadway in La Cage Aux Folles, it continues until 26 November 2011.

Jumpy
19 OCTOBER 2011

April De Angelis' new play Jumpy, examining parental anxieties and life after 50, premieres in the Royal Court Jerwood Theatre Downstairs starring Tamsin Greig, continuing until 19 November 2011.

A Round-Heeled Woman
(PREVIEWS FROM 18 OCTOBER)

A Round-Heeled Woman, adapted from the best-selling book by Jane Juska about an older woman’s sexual encounters, receives its European premiere at Riverside Studios starring Sharon Gless.

The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas

I'd Do Anything finalist Sarah Lark stars in a revival of Broadway comedy-musical The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas at the Union Theatre, where it runs until 12 November.

Macbeth
(PREVIEWS FROM 18 OCTOBER)

Baz Productions stages Macbeth in the underground crypt of St Andrew, Holborn, directed by Sarah Bedi and running until 5 November.

Terror 2011
21 OCTOBER 2011
(PREVIEWS FROM 19 OCTOBER)

Now in its eighth year, the Terror season moves to Soho Theatre’s brand new Downstairs cabaret space. Running for three weeks (til 5 November), Terror 2011 "reinvents Grand Guignol for the 21st century".

Britannicus
(PREVIEWS FROM 13 OCTOBER)

Wilton’s Music Hall presents a new production of Racine’s Britannicus, using a brand new translation by Timberlake Wertenbaker. Starring Sian Thomas as Agrippina, it continues until 19 November 2011.

The 24 Hour Play - Old Vic New Voices
23 OCTOBER 2011

An evening of short plays written, directed and acted by "Britain's brightest emerging theatre makers" in just 24 hours, returns for its sixth year at the Old Vic.
