WOS TV: Fascinating Aida Take Cheap Flight to London

Comedy cabaret trio Fascinating Aïda will return to London for their first major season in the capital since 2003, transferring their latest show Cheap Flights from the Edinburgh Fringe to the Charing Cross Theatre. The show will plays a five-week Christmas run from 7 December 2011 (previews from 5 December) to 7 January 2012.

Tickets for Fascinating Aïda's Cheap Flights go on sale from the Charing Cross Theatre at 10am tomorrow (4 August 2011).

The group's current line-up of Dillie Keane, Adele Anderson and new member Sarah-Louise Young premiere Cheap Flights at Edinburgh's Gilded Balloon tonight (3 August 2011) where the show continues to 29 August ahead of a 50-date UK tour.

The show's title song, their now infamous anthem to budget air travel "Cheap Flights" has been viewed nearly 7 million times on YouTube. Their other, often adult-themed numbers, include "Shattered Illusions", "Herpes Tango", "Lieder" and "Taboo". Their satirical take on outdoor sex, "The Dogging Song", has also become an internet video hit.

Fascinating Aïda have played numerous West End venues, with their shows Live at the Lyric (1995), Barefaced Chic (200) and One Last Flutter (2004) all nominated for Best Entertainment Olivier Awards.

The group have played dates at London theatres including the Donmar Warehouse, Lyric Hammersmith, Piccadilly Theatre, Garrick Theatre, Apollo Theatre, Vaudeville Theatre, Theatre Royal Haymarket and the Comedy Theatre.

Fascinating Aïda's Cheap Flights is presented in London by Steven M Levy and Sean Sweeney by special arrangement with John Mackay and David Johnson.
