The Interminable Suicide of Gregory Church

Daniel Kitson's Gregory Church at RET

Date: 26 May 2011

The latest offering from Daniel Kitson arrives in Manchester next week for one night only with his story show The Interminable Suicide of Gregory Church.

In this production, Kitson presents the story show which won him a fourth Edinburgh Festival Fringe First Award of his career in 2009. The show is described by the Everyman as a “fictional anecdote”, which is “funny, poignant and an optimistic meditation on modern life”.

The show follows on from last year’s sell out performances of 66a Church Road at the Everyman, located in Hope Street, and previous success with his storytelling shows C90 and The Impotent Fury of the Privileged.

The Yorkshire-born performer has been a hit act at the Edinburgh comedy festival since his first show at the event in 2001 when he was nominated for the Perrier Award for his show Love, Innocence and the Word Cock. He went on to win the prestigious award the following year with his show Something.

Kitson's The Interminable Suicide of Gregory Church. arrives at the Royal Exchange Theatre on 31 May.
