Hello, Jerry! Replaces Landor Moby & Little Shop

Hello, Jerry!, a musical revue celebrating Broadway composer and lyricist Jerry Herman, creator of shows such as Hello, Dolly!, Mame and La Cage aux Folles, will replace Moby Dick and Little Shop of Horrors which had previously been announced at the Landor Theatre.

The show, which will run from 10 to 21 May replaces the advertised production of Robert Longden and Hereward Kaye's Moby Dick which was cancelled due to a "shortfall in the funding necessary to underwrite the production". The musical was due to open a five-week run at the venue on 3 to 28 May 2011 (previews from 27 April).

The scheduled transfer of Paul Taylor Mills' production of Little Shop of Horrors which had previously played the White Bear Theatre in Kennington "was unable to come to fruition due to a problem with the rights holders." That production had been anticipated to run from 5 to 21 May 2011.

Devised and directed by Thom Southerland, whose recent credits include State Fair at the Finborough Theatre and Trafalgar Studios, Hello, Jerry! charts the greatest of Herman’s songs, from the popular "Hello, Dolly!" to lesser known numbers such as "Miss Spectacular" and "Dear World".

Hello, Dolly! won 10 Tony Awards when it premiered on Broadway in 1964 and both the 2004 and 2010 Broadway revivals of La Cage aux Folles were awarded the prize for Best Musical Revival - a unique accomplishment at the Tonys. Herman was awarded the Tony for Lifetime Achievement in the Theatre in 2009.

The cast for the revue has been announced as Adam Bayjou, Daniella Gibb, Ross Hatt, Ashleigh Jones, Laura Main, Stephen McGlynn, Mark McManus, [Olivia O’Shea], Charleen Qwaye, Susan Travers and Tegwen Tucker.

Hello, Jerry! has musical direction by Ellie Verkerk, lighting designed by Howard Hudson and is produced by Nick Robinson for Stage Taylor in association with The Landor Theatre Ltd.
