Calendar Girl Ellison Registers Baby Bobby

Date: 31 March 2010

Liverpool actress Jennifer Ellison and her husband Robbie Tickle were spotted leaving the Cotton Exchange yesterday after they had registered the birth of their eight-week old son Bobby.

The twenty-six-year old Scouser, who married her boxer husband last October, will be appearing in the Liverpool visit of the West End show Calendar Girls at the end of September.

The former Brookside actress will be following in the footsteps of Kelly Brook, Gemma Atkinson and Hannah Waterman by stripping off for the show at Liverpool’s Empire Theatre.

Just four weeks after giving birth to Bobby on 4 February, Ellison was taking her clothes off for the show’s publicity posters.

She will be joined by a cast that includes Denise Black, Jean Boht, Julia Hills, Ruth Madoc and Elaine C Smith, as well as Joe McGann as John and Bruno Langley as Lawrence the photographer.

Hannah Ashdown, general manager at the Empire Theatre, said: “We are delighted that the Calendar Girls tour will be stopping off at the Empire, with such a fantastic cast – I am sure it will be a great success in Liverpool.”

Prior to her return to the stage, Ellison will be able to spend more time with her baby son, who was registered at the Cotton Exchange in Old Hall Street, Liverpool city centre, a place where people can register births, deaths and marriages.

Calender Girls appears at the Liverpool Empire from Monday 27 September until Saturday 2 October this year.
