ENRON Banks on Lowry

Direct from the West End and Broadway, the hit play ENRON is headed for the Lowry in October.

There was a warning. And its name was ENRON. One of the most infamous scandals in financial history becomes a unique theatrical event in the highly acclaimed play which is currently playing in the West End. Mixing classical tragedy with savage comedy, this production reviews the tumultuous 1990s and casts new light on the current financial situation. This record breaking play is directed by Headlong’s Artistic Director Rupert Goold.

Lucy Prebble's ENRON opened at the Noel Coward Theatre on 16 January, and premiered to critical acclaim at Chichester Festival in July, followed by a sell out season at the Royal Court.

The West End cast is led by Samuel West as the corporation's president Jeffrey Skilling, alongside Tim Pigott-Smith as chairman Ken Lay, Amanda Drew as a fictional executive and Tom Goodman-Hill as Fastow, a financial whizz-kid.

ENRON runs from 19 - 23rd October at the Lowry and is on sale now.
