  • Everyman for himself - Continuing the regional powerhouse’s commitment to new writing, the world premiere of Laurence Wilson’s Lost Monsters takes to the stage at the Liverpool Everyman this month. It’s a bold and imaginative new play full of savage humour and with a visually stunning and inventive set.   • Peter Hall says it was worth the wait - Looking back to one of his most famous productions, here Sir Peter Hall talks about his first big break directing Samuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot (currently being revived in the West End with Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen at the Theatre Royal Haymarket).   • Impressive Box of Tricks - At the Tristan Bates theatre in June, Box of Tricks Theatre company presents the world premiere of Kenneth Emson's Whispering Happiness. Developed with support from Old Vic New Voices, this urban fairytale focuses on two teenagers caught in a world of turmoil, being forced to fend for themselves in a desolate wasteland. A gripping and relevant examination of society today, well worth a look (See Also: our dedicated Off-West End section).
