Opening: Pool, Price, Penhall Landscape & Dragon
Date: 2 April 2007

Amongst the major openings in London this week are:

OPENING TUESDAY, 3 April 2007, The Pool - City of Culture? - an award-winning contemporary verse drama set in Liverpool - receives a three-week London season at the Arts Theatre to 21 April (See News, 27 Feb 2007). Devised and performed by James Brough and Helen Elizabeth, Pool is written in rhyme and prose that follows a day in the life of cockney chancer David and scouser Tina, who meet by accident after a robbery leaves David stranded in Liverpool. The play won the Fringe First award for new writing at the Edinburgh Fringe, where it premiered in 2006, before going on to have a five-day tryout at the Arts in November last year, and a sell-out season at Liverpool’s Unity Theatre.
