Noble’s Noodlemeister Follows The Goat into Apollo

Date: 21 July 2004

For the fourth year running, surrealist comedian Ross Noble (pictured) will transfer from the Edinburgh Festival to London. Noble will bring his latest show, Noodlemeister, to the West End’s Apollo Theatre for a limited season from 3 September to 2 October 2004.

Following success in Australia, Noble launched a 46-venue, UK-wide tour of Noodlemeister at the beginning of June. At the beginning of August, he’ll begin a Scottish Highlands tour, culminating with six dates only, from 16 to 21 August, at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC) as part of this year’s 58th annual Edinburgh Fringe (See News, 10 Jun 2004).

Noodlemeister’s West End dates follows last autumn’s month-long run for Noble’s Unrealtime at the Garrick Theatre (See News, 4 Aug 2003). His earlier shows - Slacker's Playtime in 2001 and Sonic Waffle in 2002 - both enjoyed post-festival London seasons.

Currently at the Apollo, Anthony Page’s British premiere production of Edward Albee’s The Goat, or Who Is Sylvia?, starring Jonathan Pryce, finishes its West End season on 7 August 2004. It opened on 15 April 2004 (previews from 13 April), following its initial run at north London’s Almeida Theatre.
