Mayor Pitches Third Annual London Theatre PromoDate: 13 January 2004London mayor Ken Livingstone was joined at City Hall this morning by stars Alyson Hannigan and comedian Lee Evans – who will shortly be appearing in the West End in, respectively, When Harry Met Sally and Endgame - to launch the third annual “Get into London Theatre” ticket promotion. Funded by £350,000 from the mayor’s London Development Agency, the scheme makes tickets available at prices reduced to as little as £10 to £25 for more than 70 London stage productions. It covers performances from 13 January to 28 March 2004, though tickets must be booked by 27 February. Speaking at today’s launch event, Livingstone said: “From cutting edge drama to smash hit musicals, London’s theatre is second to none in terms of variety and quality… There’s something for everyone in this promotion, so get out and enjoy your capital!” A number of restaurant and hotel special offers are also available in conjunction with the scheme.
