Scottish Dance Training Wins Backing Date: 7 September 1997
While funding for the Scottish Ballet may be in question, contemporary dance in Scotland has just won a major boost. The Scottish Arts Council has awarded Dundee College £2.3m to set up a Contemporary Dance and Theatre Centre which will provide professional dance training in Scotland for the first time. The centre will also include the first, purpose-built, 200-seat dance performance space in the country.
