Albert Hall Chief Stages Early ExitDate: 26 November 1997Royal Albert Hall Chief Executive Patrick Deuchar is to leave his post this Friday, eight months earlier than originally expected when his resignation was announced in the summer. In a statement, Deuchar stated that the parting is “wholly amicable” and that the earlier departure will give him an opportunity to explore other options. He's already been approached about several top jobs in the arts world. In Deuchar's eight years at the Albert Hall, he's been credited with reviving its international reputation as an entertainment venue and securing a £40m Lottery award for restoration.
