West End Audiences Up On Last Year

West End theatre audiences are on the increase, according to the Society of London Theatre. This year's attendances up until mid-June topped 5,350,000, up by three percent from 1996 figures.
Arrivals, Returns and Cast Changes...
Fame returns to the West End from 10 November for a ten-week engagement at the Victoria Palace theatre. The production enjoyed a 15-month run at the Cambridge Theatre in 1995-1996.... Mark Ravenhill s hugely acclaimed Shopping and F***ing also returns with an eight-week season at the Queen's Theatre from 21 January .
