Queen to Attend Diana Concert Date: 17 September 1997
A charity gala concert that was due to be attended by Diana, Princess of Wales, will now be a memorial concert in her honour attended by the Queen. The concert, scheduled for 12 November at the Royal Festival Hall , will raise funds for the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children and the Royal Academy of Music's 175th Anniversary. Mozart on the Strads will be played by the Academy's Symphonia and chorus, conducted by Sir Colin Davis.
