McIntosh Returns to National after ‘Unhappy ROH Experience Date: 23 August 1997
The Royal National Theatre has re-appointed Genista McIntosh to her position as executive director. McIntosh recently made headlines when she quit as head of the Royal Opera House in May after only four months, claiming ‘ill-health . She admitted last month that she was unhappy in the job. McIntosh held the National 's executive director post from 1990 to 1996 before moving to the ROH.
