Scottish Ballet Must Fire Management or Risk ClosureDate: 29 August 1997The Scottish Arts Council (SAC) has issued a harsh ultimatum to the Scottish Ballet - get rid of chairwoman Oona Ivory and ten board members or risk closure. The Ballet has one week to consider the proposition. If it doesn't comply, the SAC will withdraw the remaining £500,000 of its annual grant. The SAC has accused the Ballet and its programme of 'not representing value for money' and says it must become 'refocused' if it is to survive. Related Content |
