Regent's Park Plans 1998 Summer Season Date: 3 February 1998
The Open Air Theatre at Regent's Park, home of the New Shakespeare Company, has announced preliminary details for its 1998 summer season which will feature four major productions in repertory. The season will begin Friday 22 May and run to Saturday 5 September 1998. This year's two Shakespeare works will be the perennial favourite A Midsummer Night's Dream and Troilus and Cressida. This summer will also include a revival of Jule Styne's 1949 musical Gentlemen Prefer Blondes and a new adaptation of Rudyard Kipling's The Jungle Book. The venue is also planning its usual mix of Sunday concerts and late night events.
