West End Jackie Closes After One Month

The British premiere of Gip Hoppe's Jackie - An American Life has posted early closing notices. The satiric farce, which opened at the Queen's Theatre on 22 October (previews from 12 October), had been booking to 9 January 1999. Following a round of bad reviews, the show will now close next Saturday, 14 November.
The play follows the fame and fortune life of Jackie Kennedy Onassis, from her days as the ambitious young Jacqueline Lee Bouvier through to her marriages with JFK, one of the most powerful men in the world, and Aristotle Onassis, one of the richest men in the world. Marilyn Monroe, Truman Capote and Frank Sinatra make guest appearances. Jackie is played by Lysette Anthony, star of the sitcom Three Up Two Down and Woody Allen's film Husbands and Wives.
Jackie - An American Life transferred to the West End from Broadway's Belasco Theatre where it closed prematurely after 128 performances.
