New Season of Late Night Charity ShowsDate: 22 September 2000West End Cares, the London equivalent of Broadway Cares that exists to raise funds and awareness for the AIDS charity Crusaid, has announced its new season of late performances by members of the casts of West End musicals. Taking place every Monday night at 11.30pm at the Talk of London cabaret venue, next door to the New London Theatre in Drury Lane (home of Cats), the season kicks off on Sep 25 with Laura-Michelle Kelly (from the cast of Whistle Down The Wind and Rebecca Thornhill (a veteran of Les Miserables) backed by the West End Cares Big Band. The Band will also support Brenda Cochrane (from the Chicago company later in the season, on Oct 23. Other events in the season are: Gail MacKinnon and Rebecca Seale (from Mamma Mia!) on Oct 2; the company of Whistle Down The Wind on Oct 16; the company of The Witches of Eastwick in an evening that is billed a Fright Night on Oct 30; the company of La Cava on Nov 6; and the company of The King and I on Nov 13.
