Hall's Ideal Husband Goes On and OnDate: 9 February 1998Sir Peter Hall's production of Oscar Wilde's social satire An An Ideal Husband shows no signs of winding down. The show, which finishes it's current season at the Gielgud Theatre on 21 February in order to make way for Alan Acykbourn's latest comedy The Things We Do For Love, will run at the Albery Theatre from 3 March. An Ideal Husband has been on at the Gielgud since mid-October, having extended its original 'limited' run by six weeks. The production seems to have nine lives (at least!) having run for seven months at this venue in 1992, for three months at the Haymarket in 1996, nine months at the Old Vic and a season on Broadway. It returned to the West End and the Haymarket in August before transferring to the Gielgud for another stint. An Ideal Husband replaces Stepping Out - The Musical which opened at the Albery on 28 October and closes 28 February. Related Content |
