Les Miz Makes Welsh Debut in July

Cameron Mackintosh s Les Miserables will make its Welsh debut on 5 July 1998 with an open-air concert performance in the grounds of Cardiff Castle in the Welsh capital.

The production, in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care, will be the climax of a fundraising weekend of concerts ranging from classical favourites to 1960s pop to mark the charity's 50th anniversary. It will feature a full orchestra, 100-strong choir and a 50-strong ensemble and will conclude with a fireworks display.

Proceeds from the performance of Les Miserables will go towards funding Marie Curie Cancer Care's work in Wales. Tickets start from �25.
