Les Mis Turns TwelveDate: 10 October 1997Cameron Mackintosh s smash operatic musical Les Miserables celebrated twelve years in London's West End this week. Les Mis, based on Victor Hugo s novel of revolutionary France, is the third longest running musical in the West End after Lloyd-Webber's Cats and Starlight Express. The production's national touring company continues its successful run over the coming months in Manchester and Bristol.
