Last Night of Proms Marked TributesDate: 14 September 1997The Last Night of the Proms concluded yesterday with a touching triple tribute - to Diana, Princess of Wales, Mother Teresa and Sir Georg Solti who have all passed away in the last fortnight. Following resounding encores of Land of Hope and Glory, conductor Andrew Davies urged the audience and millions of TV viewers to embrace their legacy and 'take their spirit with us into the future'.
