Starlight Express Star Sues for Skating Injuries Date: 22 November 1997
Former Starlight Express star Caron Davis is suing Andrew Lloyd-Webber's Really Useful Theatre Company for an injury sustained during a 1994 performance of the skate-borne musical. She claims the Company failed to keep the stage of the Apollo Victoria theatre sufficiently clean, causing the brakes on her skates to fail in her opening number. Caron, who played Dinah, says her injuries mean that she ll never again be able to work as a dancer. The Company denies liability.
