Resolution! Returns To The Place

Resolution!, the new year festival of contemporary dance by emerging dance makers, has announced its 2010 programme which includes 102 companies in 34 performances over seven weeks.

The festival, which began in 1990, features a mixed bill of new work every night and is distinguished for the sheer variety of performances on offer. Although quality is famously uneven, many of today’s top choreographers presented their earliest work in Resolution!, including Wayne McGregor, Mark Baldwin Rafael Bonachela, Javier de Frutos, Henri Oguike, Jasmin Vardimon, Katie Prince and Hofesh Shechter.

Resolution! is split into three strands. Aerowaves is the section that promotes European companies with this year’s entrants from Belgium, Italy, Spain and Romania. First Footing is for companies making their choreographic debut, and Evolution is for companies who have performed in Resolution! before and are making a return visit.
