Birmingham's Alexandra Theatre to host free open day

Date: 25 July 2012

Birmingham’s New Alexandra Theatre will open its doors like never before this Friday (July 27) with their first Open Day. The event gives theatre-goers a unique opportunity to see the inner-workings of the Alexandra whilst giving the public a fascinating insight into live theatre.

In the spirit of the London Olympics Opening Ceremony, doors will be open from 11am until 4pm and will allow fans of theatre to explore every area of the iconic Midlands venue – all for free.

Unprecedented access in and around the theatre will include interactive backstage and front of house tours, technical theatre workshops, performances from local actors and Birmingham vintage cabaret band, The Pin Ups.

Visitors wishing to attend the event need to simply arrive at the box office for 11am on Friday.
