Oliver Reed: Wild Thing comes to St James Studio

One man play Oliver Reed: Wild Thing is coming to the St James for a three week run this summer (30 July-18 August 2013.

Written by Mike Davis and Rob Crouch, the show stars Crouch as the legendary Hollywood star as he recounts his life story shortly before his death in Malta in 1999 while filming Gladiator.

According to press material, “In this homage to the renowned Oliver Reed, join the legendary
hell-raiser as he knocks back a few drinks and shares his incredible
life story.

“From the boyhood excitement of learning he was a descendant
of Peter the Great, through the success of Oliver!, boozy adventures
with Keith Moon and disastrous chat show appearances – this was a life
well lived.”

Directed by Kate Bannister, Oliver Reed: Wild Thing, which premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe last year, is the first show to be staged in the St James Studio for longer than a week.
