A big, bold all-singing, all-dancing production of Lewis Carroll's classic from the same team behind the sell-out James and the Giant Peach
Join performance poet Joseph Coelho, winner of the 2015 Centre for Literacy in Primary Poetry Award, as he unravels familiar fairytales to create fresh contemporary classics in an enchanting performance for young and old alike. A father returns home with a magical cloak. A cloak that hides a story... Did you know that the ugly duckling was never ugly? He was truly monstrous! Or that Goldilocks was never a tale about a little girl? It was always a tale about a granny - a mean, thieving granny who has plans for something quite nasty. Join our poetic storyteller as he unwinds the true stories behind the happily ever afters and discover they're maybe not as charming as you remember! After the show there will be a chance to meet Joseph and purchase signed copies of his books, as well as talk about his work.
Gangsta Granny is the story of Ben, a bored 11 year old who hates having to stay in with his old, cabbage-obsessed Granny every Friday night playing Scrabble while his parents go out ballroom dancing. But when he accidentally discovers Gran's exciting secret, Ben becomes part of the biggest, most daring crime caper ever planned! Suddenly Friday nights become the best part of his whole week!
What does it mean to follow a dream. When you don't fit in. And the odds are stacked against you? Exploring ambition, communication and friendship, the story follows the Great Odds; Marco, Grouch and Jewels, on an exciting and sometimes wobbly journey... Dreams change shape, unexpected things are uncovered and success comes through surprising discoveries. Integrating visual storytelling, British Sign Language, live music, sound and puppetry, Mac's Arcadian presents Great Odds, its first play, in co- production with Lighthouse Poole, supported by Improbable.

Eventually, no one knows who controls who anymore. iPet is a hilarious performance for the youngest audience with movement, magic and music.

The world is a very big place, especially for a tiny baby penguin who is just finding her feet. The shimmering stars and glistening snow spin around our little hero, while the mountains tower high and the wind rushes to and fro. And although baby penguin may be small, her family know she's the biggest thing of all. This early years favourite is a lovely and touching story about a parent and their love for their child by much loved children's author Emma Dodd.
One day whilst out for a jog, Stick Man is pounced on by a playful dog. Mistaken for an ordinary stick, he is swept far away, being used for all sorts of things: from a flag mast to a cricket bat, a snowman's arm to firewood (well almost!). As his adventure unfolds, Stick Man - lost and alone - wonders if he will ever get back to the family tree. Passing through all the seasons and culminating in a joyful Christmas celebration (with an appearance by a certain portly gentleman dressed in red and white) Stick Man will delight children and their families, no matter the time of year. Three actors and a one-man-band combine with a host of colourful characters and animals to magically re-tell Stick Man's adventures. Music is played live, with a multitude of instruments.
