Steve Punt, Charlie Condou and Philip Franks join Rocky Horror tour

The actors join the national tour which kicks off in December

Casting has been announced for the upcoming production of The Rocky Horror Show which kicks off its tour in Brighton next month.

Joining the previously announced Paul Cattermole, Diana Vickers, Liam Tamne and Ben Freeman will be co-host of Radio Four's The Now Show Steve Punt, Coronation Street star Charlie Condou and Philip Franks (The History Boys).

The three men will share the role of The Narrator with Condou taking the role during the Manchester tour dates
and Franks, who will take over from June, returning to the role after playing The Narrator in the 40th Anniversary Tour of Rocky Horror Show.

Richard O'Brien's cult classic musical tells the story of squeaky-clean college kids Brad and Janet, who stumble upon Dr Frank'n'Furter's house when their car breaks down.

It features songs including "Time Warp" and "Dammit Janet", and last toured the UK in 2013, with a cast including Ben Forster and Oliver Thornton.

The Rocky Horror Show opens at the Theatre Royal in Brighton on 17 December before touring to Manchester, Birmingham, Liverpool, Cardiff, Sunderland, Southampton, Wimbledon, Torquay, Bradford, Edinburgh, Belfast, York, Aylesbury, Nottingham, Richmond, Stoke, Sheffield, Woking, Watford, Bristol, Milton Keynes, Glasgow and Aberdeen.
