Set to open in Manchester in 2017, the show originally ran at the Menier Chocolate Factory in 2015, transferring to the Savoy Theatre in 2016 where it broke records with the biggest advance sales in the venue's history.

Olivier Award-winning actress Sheridan Smith starred as Fanny Brice, with understudy Natasha Barnes taking over the role from May whilst Smith took a leave of absence.

Funny Girl tells the tale of Brice who rose from being a Brooklyn music hall singer to become one of Broadway's biggest stars under producer Florenz Ziegfeld. The show features songs including "People", "Don't Rain on My Parade" and "I'm the Greatest Star".

Casting for the tour is yet to be announced.
