The cast has been announced for Scott Graham, Karl Hyde and Simon Stephens’ Fatherland, which opens at the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester in July.

Directed by Frantic Assembly's Scott Graham, the cast will feature Joseph Alessi, Luke Brown, Matt Cross, Bryan Dick, Emun Elliott, Ankit Giri, Nick Holder, David Judge, Neil McCaul, Tachia Newell, Ferdy Roberts, Luke Rigg and Deka Walmsley.

They will be joined by the Chorus of Others, an ensemble made up of local Mancunian voices especially for the piece.

The new piece, which runs as part of Manchester International Festival, will have music by Underworld's Hyde and aims to look at the complexities and contradictions of contemporary fatherhood. It is inspired by conversations with fathers and sons from Corby, Kidderminster and Stockport – the three co-authors’ hometowns.

Fatherland runs at Royal Exchange Manchester from 5 to 22 July with previews from 1 July 2017.
