Rethink the fraught subject of assisted suicide through music, comedy, spectacle and shared humanity. Assisted Suicide: The Musical subverts conventional notions of choice, dignity, compassion and quality of life from the perspective of disabled activist, actor, artist and comedian Liz Carr. In 2015, MPs voted overwhelmingly against legalising assisted suicide. Opinion polls would have you believe that the majority of the UK population believe it's a humane choice to legalise assisted suicide for terminally ill or disabled people, but Liz Carr, and many other disabled people disagree. Confronting the lack of creative work exploring this most topical taboo, she joins director Mark Whitelaw, composer Ian Hill and a cast of actors to express an important and often unheard perspective - through the medium of musical theatre.

The story follows a group of Leeds residents from the start of the war until the battle of the Somme in 1916. The men, members of an amateur brass band, join up to the Leeds Pals regiment and their womenfolk decide to learn the instruments that the men have left behind to keep the spirit of the brass band alive and to play for them when they triumphantly return to the city after the war. We watch the women trying to learn the brass instruments whilst the men simply try to stay alive. It is an epic musical about love and survival.

The Last Five Years is a show about a marriage. It is told from two angles: from the man's point of view it starts at their first meeting and ends in the present, when the marriage breaks up. From the woman s point of view, it starts in the present and works back in time to the first meeting. Only at the wedding, in the centre of the piece, do the stories intersect. The relationship is between a 'nice Jewish boy' and an Christian girl in New York City. During a five year period, they fall in love, marry and their relationship gradually sours and they finally divorce.
Reprising their roles from the original New York production are Michael C Hall (Thomas Newton), Michael Esper (Valentine) and Sophia Anne Caruso (Girl).

Jean Valjean, released on parole after 19 years on the chain gang, finds that the 'ticket-of-leave' he must display by law, condemns him to be an outcast. Only the saintly Bishop of Digne treats him kindly and Valjean, embittered by years of hardship, repays him by stealing some silver. Valjean is caught and brought back by the police, and is astonished when the Bishop lies to save him, also giving him two precious candlesticks. Valjean decides to start his life anew. Things go well but 8 years later, an encounter with a face from the past threatens everything he now holds dear..

As Steve Wright, the occupant of No. 79, was arrested, charged and then convicted of the murders, the immediate community grappled with what it meant to be at the epicentre of this tragedy. We just wanna - wanna see an end - end to it and London Road getting back to London Road instead of being known for someone where - where the murderer lived. Adam Cork uses the melodic and rhythmic speech patterns captured on playwright Alecky Blythe s extensive recorded interviews with the people of Ipswich to create an experimental and challenging work which reveals the ways in which even the darkest experiences can engender a greater sense of our mutual dependence.
