WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
Untrained is a quirky and irreverent theatrical exploration that takes both performers and audience into a whole new undefined experience. Setting two highly skilled dancers against two men with absolutely no movement training at all - the four men are given identical instructions: to execute the same series of movements. They twirl they jump, the roll, they make faces, take off their shirts, twitch and shake, leap and flow. It's how they execute the instructions that reveals an individual portrait of each man's character. It's the evolution of information, built up through action that shows what they have in common and where their physical histories set them apart. The result is a captivating exchange of skill and goodwill, verve and virtuosity, humour and vulnerability.
